Description:

Warm, stretchy and breathable like our Regulator® fleece, but with the added benefits of abrasion and weather resistance. This cool-weather crosslayer was designed for extended versatility in shifting mountain conditions. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.

Specs & Features:

• Lightweight double-weave fabric with a unique zigzag texture is soft and warm next to the skin but doesn’t trap heat; treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish made without perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs/PFAS) to shed moisture

• Stretch fabric and shoulders are designed for overhead reach and a wide range of movement

• Under-the-helmet hood is bound with soft elastic and provides coverage and visibility, and a soft kissing-welt zipper garage at the chin offers next-to-skin comfort

• Secure, zippered left-chest pocket has an additional drop-in pocket with a snap closure; two high handwarmer pockets with invisible zippers are harness- and pack-compatible

• Sleek, low-bulk, snag-resistant cuffs are partially elasticized and provide versatile coverage

• Low-bulk, cleanly finished hem for comfort under a harness or a pack waistbelt

• Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory, which means the people who made this product earned a premium for their labor

Fair Trade Certified™

An ever-growing number of our products are Fair Trade Certified™ for sewing, which means we pay a premium to the workers in the factories that make them. The Fair Trade program also helps to create better working conditions and safeguards against the use of child labor.

bluesign® System

Every textile Patagonia uses is the result of a complicated manufacturing process, making it difficult for them to evaluate all the raw materials, dyes and chemical auxiliary materials each of their suppliers use. bluesign® technologies, based in Switzerland, helps with this analysis, working at each step in the textile supply chain to assess and approve chemicals, processes, materials and products that are safe for the environment, workers and customers.

Recycled Polyester

An important fiber in Patagonia's line, polyester allows them to build lightweight materials that dry quickly and can be used in a variety of applications, including trail-running tops and yoga tights. Polyester also blends well with natural fabrics like cotton. But virgin polyester is derived from petroleum, which comes at a high environmental cost.

Made without PFAS / PFC

Water repellency doesn’t just keep you comfortable, it keeps you alive. But for decades now, the coatings used in apparel to improve water-repellency have relied on per- or polyfluorinated chemicals, which contain fluorine and are most often referred to by their acronyms: PFCs, PFOAs or PFAS. This class of “forever chemicals” accumulates in air, water, food and even our bodies, and they raise serious health concerns, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Patagonia is converting all of their durable water-repellent membranes and finishes to non-fluorinated alternatives by 2025.
