Description:

For your best everyday runs or whatever else you dream up, with an essential dose of utility, the Multi Trails Shorts have a 5½" inseam and are built of lightweight 90% recycled polyester certified by OceanCycle and sourced from coastal communities at risk of plastic pollution/10% spandex plain weave that breathes, wicks moisture and moves comfortably. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.

Specs & Features:

• Quick-drying body fabric is made with 90% recycled polyester certified by OceanCycle and sourced from coastal communities at risk of plastic pollution/10% spandex woven with four-way stretch, allowing for ease of movement and a comfortable fit; to shed light moisture, the shorts have a DWR (durable water repellent) finish that's made without perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs/PFAS)

• External drawcord for adjustability and comfort

• Two zippered front pockets; one back snap pocket for small items on the go and to stuff shorts into for easier packing

• Comfortable brief liner; inseam is 5½"

• Light and minimal elastic waistband, with good power and recovery, provides moisture management and reduces bulk; mid-rise fit

• Reflective logo on the front-left hem; locker loop for hang drying

Fair Trade Certified™

An ever-growing number of our products are Fair Trade Certified™ for sewing, which means we pay a premium to the workers in the factories that make them. The Fair Trade program also helps to create better working conditions and safeguards against the use of child labor.

bluesign® System

Every textile Patagonia uses is the result of a complicated manufacturing process, making it difficult for them to evaluate all the raw materials, dyes and chemical auxiliary materials each of their suppliers use. bluesign® technologies, based in Switzerland, helps with this analysis, working at each step in the textile supply chain to assess and approve chemicals, processes, materials and products that are safe for the environment, workers and customers.

Recycled Polyester

An important fiber in Patagonia's line, polyester allows them to build lightweight materials that dry quickly and can be used in a variety of applications, including trail-running tops and yoga tights. Polyester also blends well with natural fabrics like cotton. But virgin polyester is derived from petroleum, which comes at a high environmental cost.

Made without PFAS / PFC

Water repellency doesn’t just keep you comfortable, it keeps you alive. But for decades now, the coatings used in apparel to improve water-repellency have relied on per- or polyfluorinated chemicals, which contain fluorine and are most often referred to by their acronyms: PFCs, PFOAs or PFAS. This class of “forever chemicals” accumulates in air, water, food and even our bodies, and they raise serious health concerns, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Patagonia is converting all of their durable water-repellent membranes and finishes to non-fluorinated alternatives by 2025.
