These hiking shorts are designed for comfort and versatility, with a sleek, modernized fit for ease of movement and a slightly higher rise than the Quandary Pants. They're built of 96% NetPlus® postconsumer recycled nylon made from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution/4% spandex plain weave; with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish made without perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs/PFAS) to resist light moisture. Inseam length is 7"; also available in a 5" inseam.

• Made of stretch-woven 96% NetPlus® postconsumer recycled nylon made from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution/4% spandex plain weave; with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish made without perfluorinated chemicals to shed moisture

• Waistband has belt loops, a zipper fly with a metal-button closure, and a hidden drawcord

• Two front drop-in pockets and two back patch pockets

• Reinforced hemostat/carabiner loop on the front-right pocket

We accept both current season and sale items in any condition for return or exchange. We can only process refunds within 60 days of the purchase. We do not set a time limit on exchanges. We ask that returns for fit or color be made in a timely manner and that items be kept in new condition with tags attached. Returns and exchanges can be sent back using our self-serve returns portal to get a prepaid shipping label. Exchanges or returns for store credit are free. Refunds include an $8.00 return shipping cost that will be deducted from your refund and applied to your original form of payment.

Water repellency doesn’t just keep you comfortable, it keeps you alive. But for decades now, the coatings used in apparel to improve water-repellency have relied on per- or polyfluorinated chemicals, which contain fluorine and are most often referred to by their acronyms: PFCs, PFOAs or PFAS. This class of “forever chemicals” accumulates in air, water, food and even our bodies, and they raise serious health concerns, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Patagonia is converting all of their durable water-repellent membranes and finishes to non-fluorinated alternatives by 2025.
